Our Story
Matt’s Auto Body was founded in 1989 and has become a staple in the local business community. Bob and Matt have built a solid business on the foundation of small town values and commitment to quality work. Matt’s began as a small shop in the hamlet of Salt Point, NY. In 1997 they moved to their main location at 1930 Salt Point Turnpike in the heart of the hamlet. In 2010, the pair purchased the old Williams Lumber location in the middle of the hamlet, just steps from their main shop. They renovated the main building on that site and now work in over 15,000 square feet of combined shop space in multiple locations. They also have two spray booths with the newest being a state-of-the-art USIItalia system which is connected directly to the manufacturer.
Bob and Matt believe in the value of an honest day’s work and operate their business with the philosophy that you “treat everyone like family”. Their reputation is built on providing great customer service, attention to detail and custom repair and restoration work.
